Founding and Mission
The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) was established in 2019 and commenced academic operations in January 2021, becoming the world’s first graduate-level, research-based university dedicated exclusively to artificial intelligence. Named after Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, the institution reflects Abu Dhabi’s strategic commitment to positioning itself at the forefront of the global AI revolution.

Machine Learning: The machine learning programme covers the theoretical foundations and practical applications of statistical learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and probabilistic modelling.
